Summary of the Celebration
The spirit of Halloween came alive at Hindustan International School, Guindy, as students from HISTAR to Grade 9 enthusiastically participated in a fun-filled and engaging Halloween Celebration held on October 31, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The event began with a Halloween Parade held at the HISG Basketball Court, where students from HISTAR to Grade 9 showcased their creative costumes with pride and excitement. The court buzzed with laughter, spooky charm, and vibrant energy as children displayed their unique Halloween outfits inspired by ghosts, witches, superheroes, and fantasy characters.
Adding to the festive spirit, a speech on the significance of Halloween enlightened students on why Halloween is celebrated extensively in European countries—highlighting its historical origins, cultural importance, and the joy it brings to communities across the world.
A “Best Class Halloween Decoration” contest was also organized, where each class decorated their rooms with eerie and imaginative themes. The creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm of the students transformed classrooms into spooky wonderlands filled with Halloween spirit.
The highlight of the celebration was the Teachers’ Halloween Ramp Walk, where teachers of HISG joined in the fun, surprising students with their creative costumes and lively participation. This special moment filled the court with cheer and laughter, strengthening the joyful bond between teachers and students.
The celebration beautifully blended fun, creativity, and learning, allowing students to experience cultural diversity while fostering teamwork, expression, and school spirit. In line with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, the event promoted joy, creativity, and emotional wellness among students, encouraging a positive and inclusive school environment that nurtures happiness and healthy social interaction. The day concluded with wide smiles, laughter, and fond memories of a truly spook-tacular Halloween!
